Rochie In China

Well it’s that time of year again, full of wonderful joy and happiness. Yes it’s Christmas time! Well my Christmas has been like most days, having my alarm ring at 7:30 telling me to get out of bed. I had to go to work and teach at 10:00 but had much to organise for the EF Christmas party. After my class this morning I played with my only Christmas present my new Camera a Nikon D3000 (my Christmas Present from myself).

Last Friday night was Halloween at EF. We had 160 students come to EF and have a Halloween party. In each class room we had 20 students that would do an activity and then move along to the next classroom and teacher, so each teacher had to do the same activity 7 times. We finished the night with an activity called the mummy wrap, the students need to wrap one of the students up like a mummy using only toilet paper. It was a great night and here are some pictures.

Today was the 1st day of the holiday. At about 9am I put my skates on and skated to the Earthquake Monument. I took some photos around the square and then went to the skating rink. I was skating at the rink and Lisa and some friends showed up so we skated until about 1pm.

Well as most of you are probably aware of it is National Day in China celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Peoples Republic of China. I have 6 days holiday with no plans as yet so I will see how I go. Today I will take my camera and take some photos of the Earthquake square, because for the last 2 weeks they have been setting up lots of displays. Also I might go skating for a little while.

On Monday the 31st of August I went to Beijing, and my cousin Ryan just so happened to be on his way to Beijing as well. So we met up and we went out for the day to the great wall and also did some shopping at the famous Silk Street in Beijing.
