Rochie In China

Well it’s that time of year again, full of wonderful joy and happiness. Yes it’s Christmas time! Well my Christmas has been like most days, having my alarm ring at 7:30 telling me to get out of bed. I had to go to work and teach at 10:00 but had much to organise for the EF Christmas party. After my class this morning I played with my only Christmas present my new Camera a Nikon D3000 (my Christmas Present from myself).

At 1:00 we went to Tangshan Hotel where the Christmas party was being held. All the girls started to get ready and do their makeup and hair and I snapped a few photos. I also had to spend some time practicing my lines for my onstage performance. When 4:30 hit I hesitantly decided to get ready and put on the Santa suit. At 5:30 We went up and had dinner (just the foreign teachers). While the crowd settled into the hall and have their dinner.

At 6:15 it all started, we went down and entered the hall together and paraded around most of the tables. Ten we went and sat down not for long Big Benn got up and did his opening speech and then was my turn in the EF Opera. After the Opera finished I just wondered around the hall snapping photos with my camera and also having many photos taken with the students, parents and staff. All wanting their little bit of Santa.

At about 8:15 everyone especially me started to get a little tired. It finally finished up about 8:45 ending with all the staff and some students on stage for a big group photo. All in all I thought it was a great night and I had much fun being Santa (this was the first time in my life i have played the jolly old fat man, and it was not as bad as i thought it would be).

So to end I would just like to say my day is the same as every other day, but to all of those out there that read this Merry Christmas and I wish all a Happy New Year. Many Blessings in the year to come.
